Layered Chocolate Cake with Decadent Mousse π«π°

For the Cake:

Instructions:
1️⃣ Prepare the Cake:

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease & flour your cake pan π§.

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt π₯£.

In another bowl, mix the eggs, vegetable oil, milk, and vanilla π₯π»π₯π¦.

Combine the wet and dry ingredients, mixing until just blended.

Gradually add hot water ☕, whisking continuously until the batter is slightly runny.

Pour into the prepared pan and bake 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean ⏱️.

Let the cake cool completely, then slice horizontally into 2–3 layers πͺ.
2️⃣ Make the Chocolate Mousse:

Melt the dark chocolate over low heat, stirring until smooth π«π₯.

In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form π₯π₯π¦.

Gently fold the melted chocolate into the whipped cream until fully combined π₯.
3️⃣ Assemble the Cake:

Place the first layer on a serving plate π½️.

Spread a generous layer of mousse over it π₯.

Add the next cake layer and repeat until all layers and mousse are used.
4️⃣ Add the Glaze:

Spread cherry jam (or your favorite jam) over the top layer ππ.
